All of our ECore HDMI cables are comprised of a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) jacket. This is the standard type jacket used for low voltage cables. PVC jackets have different ratings which determine where they can be run. Our HDMI cables are rated CL2 which means they can be run in Class 2 circuits as defined in the national Electric Code Article 725. CL2 circuits are limited to 100VA of power at 30V and up to 0.5VA between 30V and 150V. CL2 rated cables are often referred to as in-wall rated cables and can be run almost anywhere except plenums.
